Title: Revegetating the Numeralla River Catchment
Funding: NHT Murray-Darling 2001 Program
Year: 1998-2001
Description: The aim of this joint project between the Numeralla and Nimmitabel Landcare Groups is to develop and implement a plan of action to reverse the long term decline in native vegetation within the Numeralla River Catchment. Areas requiring immediate action will be identified and prioritised. A series of on ground works will be implemented with a focus on re-establishing vegetation in severley degraded sites whilst in other areas removing the threatening processes to encourage regeneration. Support will be provided to land managers to assist in developing a revegetation program for their individual property. Landholders will also be provided with the skills and knowledge to maintain these sites and reduce future degradation impacts.
