Friends of Googong was incorporated on 26 June 1998. The group has less than 15 members, some of which are part of family groups.

Title: Tin Hut Wetland Project
Program: National Wetlands Program
Description: 1. Create diversification in the vegetation and habitat to increase the biodiversity of the wetlands. 2. Decrease impacts from user groups by establishing formal interpretation infrastructures. 3. Decrease impacts from other threatening processes by establishing mechanisms to support biodiversity. 4. To pilot various initiatives applicable to a number of local wetland areas.
