Caring for our Country Business plan and target review surveys

Did you apply for funding under the 09-10 business plan, or do you want to comment on the future Caring for our Country targets?

The Australian Government is seeking information to "help us improve our information and application processes." There is a survey to complete:

Natural Disaster Declaration - Cootamundra and Harden

Producers affected by a severe storm in the Cootamundra and Harden regions on 22 January can now apply for Natural Disaster Assistance, NSW Minister for Primary Industries Ian Macdonald said.

Affected landholders can now apply for Natural Disaster Relief Assistance through the NSW Rural Assistance Authority on 1 800 678 593.

Carbon Trading Workshop : how will carbon trading work for farmers and industry

The Workshop's program will include topics such as:

  • Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme White paper - how it will affect farmers & industry;
  • Agricultural Soils - Carbon Sink or Carbon Source?;
